Overall a great system, very easy to start up and use. The 10.5 gallon capacity allows me to make keg sized batches of big beers. I had a first gen RoboBrew and the Anvil system is far superior in every aspect. I would recommend this system to anyone wanting to get into electric brewing. The two beers I have made are both excellent (Vienna Lager and a Hazy IPA). I really like the fact that I can walk away from the brew and do other things and not worry about my gas burner needing adjustment or the dogs getting their tail too close to the fire. My brew day is not any shorter using this unit, but cleanup is easier. The included chiller is OK but a little slow. Once the batch is chilled to my desired temperature, I am using my own homemade copper chiller.

I have a stainless steel tube to circulate around the chiller without splashing. Once boil is complete I hook up my circulation pump and begin cooling the batch. I get a nice boil from the unit but not enough to have to worry about boil over.Īt 15 minutes I add my chiller.
